Ingredients:
3 egg whites- 1 cup sugar
- 15 saltine crackers
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch of salt
Beat eggs until foamy. Add cream of tartar and salt. Beat until stiff. Add sugar gradually and fold in crumbled crackers, nuts and vanilla. Bake in buttered pie pan at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. No crust is needed. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream on top.
